CARL AUGUST GRENSER (1720-1807)

Desarrolló su actividad entre 1744 y 1789.  Fundó su taller en Dresden y se convirtió en uno de los más célebres constructores de instrumentos de viento del siglo XVIII.

La flauta original de C. A. Grenser se encuentra en el Germanisches Nationalmuseum de Nüremberg (Dresden c. 1775).

Está construida en madera de boj, con anillos de marfil y llave de plata.  Consta de 7 cuerpos de recambio y foot register.

Las flautas Grenser pueden cubrir una amplia gama de afinaciones: las más utilizadas en la actualidad son a = 415, 430 y 440.

 

La música que puede abordarse con este instrumento es todo el repertorio de finales del siglo XVIII, Carl P. E. Bach, Haydn, Mozart.

CARL AUGUST Grenser (1720-1807)

He was active between 1744 and 1789 and founded his workshop in Dresden.  He went on to become one of the most famous wind instrument builders of the eighteenth century.
C. A. Grenser’s original flute is in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg (Dresden c. 1775).
It is made of boxwood with ivory rings and silver key. Its body has 7 parts in addition to a foot register.
The Grenser flutes works with a wide range of tunings: the most commonly used today are A = 415, 430 and 440.

 

All of the late 18th century repertoire including that of Carl P. E. Bach, Haydn, and Mozart can be played on this flute.
